The National Park of Al Hoceima is located on the mediterranean coast west of the city of Al Hoceima.
It covers an inland and offshore area of nearly 119.000 acres.
The offshore part is home of populations of dolphins, groupers and red coral to name a few.
The park offers spectacular coastal sceneries. The coast, spotted with wild beaches only accessible by boat, appears as
a succession of cliffs up to 700 m high falling in the sea, a natural refuge for numerous ospreys (fish eagle).
The backcountry of the park offers rural landscapes of cultivated land, valleys and gorges, home of a rich bird life.
A hiking trail permits to explore the inland part of the park with possibilities to stay overnight in "gîtes ruraux".
